Spruce up the laundry room with this simple Wash, Dry, Fold, Repeat frame-able sign! Just because laundry seems like a never-ending task doesn’t mean the laundry area can’t be a happy place!
Does laundry seem as daunting to you as it does to me? It’s probably one of my least favorite household chores. Probably because I’m never done with it. Just as I fold and put away that last shirt or pair of pants, the kids run in and throw something else in the hamper. I shouldn’t complain. If it actually lands in the hamper, it’s a very good day! Ha!
Quick question-do you do laundry once a week or all throughout the week in smaller doses? I’m a once-a-weeker. I’d rather have a single period where I’m tied to the washer and dryer than to chain myself to them on a daily basis. 🙂
But, no matter how much I want to frown when I start tackling those mountains of dirty clothes each Monday, there are a few things that always make me smile.
I absolutely love that in our new home we have a large area where I can accomplish this task. I have plenty of space for baskets and a perfect spot to sit and fold while I try to go to my happy place.
The saying on today’s free printable sign is so true, isn’t it? I framed it and put it on the counter so I could always be reminded that laundry is a process and not a destination. 🙂 I’m still working on my attitude about it. Ha!
I like to give some love to the laundry room, as I’m decorating my home, because I’m in there so often. This framed print is a great way to inexpensively and instantly add some pizzazz to the place.
After our washer was out of commission for two whole weeks about a month ago, I’m especially grateful for the opportunity to be able to do laundry. As inconvenient as that experience was, it really put things into perspective for me.
Another aspect of laundry that I will always appreciate is the smell of the clothes afterwards. I literally bury my face in them as I pull them out of the dryer because the scent is incredible! And because it means that I’m one step closer to being done for a little bit! 🙂
My kids play hard outside. Between P.E. and recess at school, races, tennis, and digging in the sandbox in our yard, their clothes can take on quite the odors, if you know what I’m saying. I never realized kids could sweat so much or what a stench grass and dirt creates when combined on clothes. That is until I had my own busy, active kiddos. So, Lysol® Laundry Sanitizer is my laundry day hero!
It’s an additive specially designed to sanitize and kill 99.9% of bacteria in laundry (when used as directed in rinse cycle).
It eliminates bacteria that can lead to illnesses and create lingering bad smells. Detergent alone cannot do this! The result is a fresh, clean scent that is very bury-your-head-in-that-shirt worthy.
When I use Lysol Laundry Sanitizer, I have complete peace of mind, knowing that those stinky clothes I’m putting into the washer will pass the sniff test with flying colors!
It’s easy to find at Target in the laundry care aisle in the sub-segment laundry additives. Even better news-Lysol Laundry Sanitizer does not contain any chlorine bleach and even works in cold water so it is safe to use on most fabrics including whites, colors and darks.
