I’ve always been sort of a party pooper when it comes to my front porch on Halloween. We of course always set out our carved, lit pumpkins, and last year we even lined our driveway with glowing milk cartons on which we drew scary faces. Other than that, though, our door scene is typically a pretty sad (and not-so-scary) sight. It could be that I expend all my energy and creativity decorating the inside of my house and burn out before moving outside. That being said, I’m all about the “whole effect”, so this year, I’m determined to give some attention to “spookifying” my front porch for the trick-or-treaters.
We have a very small entryway to our front door, so I admit to being stumped in the past about what to do so as not to crowd out or pose a tripping threat to the cute, costumed candy beggars. 🙂
I’ve rounded up some fun ideas for Halloween porch decor in lots of different styles, levels of detail, and amounts of space, that I hope to use as inspiration. Maybe you can find something you love here too! Now I just wish I could paint my door a festive color for the big night, but somehow I don’t think that idea will fly with the hubby. 🙂
