15 Halloween Porch Decor Ideas

I’ve always been sort of a party pooper when it comes to my front porch on Halloween.  We of course always set out our carved, lit pumpkins, and last year we even lined our driveway with glowing milk cartons on which we drew scary faces.  Other than that, though, our door scene is typically a pretty sad (and not-so-scary) sight.  It could be that I expend all my energy and creativity decorating the inside of my house and burn out before moving outside.  That being said, I’m all about the “whole effect”, so this year, I’m determined to give some attention to “spookifying” my front porch for the trick-or-treaters.

We have a very small entryway to our front door, so I admit to being stumped in the past about what to do so as not to crowd out or pose a tripping threat to the cute, costumed candy beggars. 🙂

I’ve rounded up some fun ideas for Halloween porch decor in lots of different styles, levels of detail, and amounts of space, that I hope to use as inspiration. Maybe you can find something you love here too!  Now I just wish I could paint my door a festive color for the big night, but somehow I don’t think that idea will fly with the hubby. 🙂

Find this idea at Infarrantly Creative.  I’m loving the orange door, the pillows, lanterns….every little detail of this porch is complete perfection!

How about this fantastically fun Raven Porch from Create Craft Love.

I’m amazed at all the detail that went into this Graveyard by My Home Ideas.  Looks super spooky!
How creative is this tape spiderweb rug from Our Thrifty Ideas?  Looks pretty simple to pull off too!  And check out that cute spider pumpkin!

Or here’s a similar door mat from Country Living, but with a black background.  I love the simple detail of the broom by the door too!

This Countdown to Candy from Corner House Blog is crazy fun.  Because, let’s face it, it really is all about the candy. 🙂

This witch legs rug from Parents.com just screams Wizard of Oz.  I love it so much that I made one last year.
Such a neat Frankenstein and spiderweb door from Living Locurto!

Ok this one from Craftberry Bush has definitely got to be my favorite.  Those Despicable Me painted pumpkins are just too cute for words.  Pure genius!  My kids would totally do jumping jacks if we could pull this off.

This skeleton porch from Better Homes and Gardens just makes me chuckle.

What a creative, unique “Boo” ladder on this porch from Midwest Living.

I’m a big fan of vintage, so this porch from The Vintage Home really caught my eye.

The hanging decorations make such a huge statement in this porch from Jobs Papa.  And those cauldrons filled with bare tree branches…gasp.

If you don’t mind renovating the outside of your home, consider this idea from Decoist. 🙂

Start the carving early if you fancy this porch from Good Housekeeping.  🙂  I love the variety in sizes, shapes and designs of the pumpkins.  So simple-looking yet eye-catching.
These are getting me so excited to decorate my porch!  How about you?
