Who doesn’t love a good cookie bar? These Cake Mix Reese’s Chip Cookie Bars are loaded with peanut butter goodness and are so easy to make, starting with a boxed yellow cake mix!
Are you having trouble finding baking supplies right now? I’ve been stocking up on cake mixes because they are easy to find and a great base for a delicious dessert! As you probably know, I typically like to doctor them up to create an all-new, incredible treat! For today’s recipe, I worked some serious scrumptious magic! I turned a yellow cake mix into soft and luscious cookie bars that are studded with Reese’s Peanut Butter Chips and drizzled with even more on top!
My kids went crazy for them! You’ll need to press them in an 8″x8″ pan for the perfect thickness. Be sure not to over bake or they’ll quickly turn dry! They really only take about 12 to 14 minutes to bake to soft and dreamy cookie bar perfection!
My oldest daughter has been my baking companion lately and I’m loving it! She’s learned how to make various breads, desserts, and even dinner recipes! I love equipping my kids with cooking skills that will help them later on in life to eat well and save money while doing it.
Probably our favorite thing to make together are desserts. No surprise there. 🙂 When I found a yellow cake mix in our pantry, we decided to experiment to see what yummy treat we could concoct with it, without making it into cake. Cake mixes really are so versatile!
Some of my family’s most favorite desserts start with a boxed mix! I like to add in ingredients that make it taste homemade, but without all the effort! If you love these types of desserts, you definitely need to try these Funfetti Cake Mix Cookies, these Blueberry Cheesecake Cookie Bars and these Lemon Lime Cake Mix Cookies.
These are absolute peanut butter cookie bar perfection! Every bite is pure bliss! These disappear in a hurry! I hope you enjoy!
