All the fun of a fall favorite candy in a creamy white chocolate cheesecake dip! Get the graham crackers and fruit ready and dig in!
I have an obsession with candy corns. Not for their taste, though. I’ve never been one to just pop open a bag and start contentedly dropping them in my mouth. I’d much rather spend my calories eating chocolate. But I just love how cute they are! And they sure make Halloween desserts look festive and fun! Don’t you agree?
So I took the pretty trio of yellow, orange and blue colors out of a seasonal favorite mini candy and inserted them into a delicious fruit, cracker and pretzel dip that I know you’re going to be heart eyes for.
My sweet tooth always gets me so excited for this time of year. Because it’s one of the only times when I’m pretty much surrounded by sugary confections 24/7. That’s heaven to me. Because what’s Halloween without the goodies? I’m convinced you can’t have the trick without the treat. In fact, I always say skip the trick and let’s get straight to the treat.
This is the perfect platter to share at a potluck! This recipe will easily make a few glasses worth. I used short, wide clear glasses for easier dipping. Then, fancy it up with some sprinkles and a candy corn for garnish. Everyone will thank you for your delicious contribution to the event.
When everyone’s indulging, I’m not going to be the one to duck out and claim I’m watching my girlish figure. No, this is one instance where I will always cave to peer pressure. And I’ll face the consequences later with a very happy tummy. Because who could say “no” to this? I dare you to try.
It’s easy to throw together if you’re in a pinch and need that perfect something to bring to the party on short notice. Just a couple simple ingredients and you’ve got a fantastic, dreamy and oh-so-impressive dip that will wow the crowds.
{CANDY CORN DIP}
8 oz cream cheese, softened
3.3 oz white chocolate instant pudding and pie filling, dry from the packet
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. milk
8 oz. whipped topping
Yellow and orange food coloring or gel
In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream together cream cheese, dry pudding mix, vanilla extract and powdered sugar. Add milk and continue mixing until fully incorporated and mixture is smooth and creamy. Fold in whipped topping. Divide the mixture evenly between three bowls. Add 4-6 drops of yellow food coloring in one bowl and then do the same with orange food coloring in another bowl. Leave one white. Stir in the food coloring completely, adding more as necessary, to reached the desired color intensity. Layer the colors in a clear glass in the following order: yellow, orange and then finishing with white. Garnish with sprinkles and a candy corn, if desired. Serve with cut up fruit, vanilla wafers, graham crackers and pretzels for dipping.
This stuff is so addicting! I seriously took a spoon to it. This will test your self control, but you won’t complain about being defeated by a dip once you taste how yummy it is! 🙂
