Creative Indoor Play for Kids

When the cold weather hits and the kids want to be inside, pull out the Beados and have some creative, fun play time!

Have you finished your holiday shopping yet? I’ve got the perfect gift idea today for the kids on your list! It’s sure to be a hit!

When winter time keeps my children indoors, they love staying busy with crafts. After school, they know the drill-they need to get homework and piano practice done and then the rest of the evening is theirs to play and unwind.

But this time of year, when it’s too cold to go outside, they end up begging to make things with mom.  I like to encourage them to be creative, so I’m always racking my brain for new, exciting project ideas that are tailored to kids.  img_3137

So when we discovered the Beados “Scoop ‘n’ Mix” playset, I knew this was the perfect way to entertain them on cold, keep-you-inside winter days. It’s so much fun for all!

I love that it’s simple enough that they can do everything on their own, without constant supervision and assistance from mom.  Because usually at this time in the evening, I’m prepping dinner or taking care of baby brother.

But it’s also a perfect way for the whole family to make creative memories and cute designs when we are all able to be together.

The kids can choose a template from the many options, add the beads with the easy-to-use “Scoop ‘N’ Place Pen”…

…and then spray the designs with water to fuse everything together.  Isn’t it cute?!

After they’re dry, the kids can display their masterpieces proudly on the lollipop stand or the little shelf.

My kiddos have already built up quite the collection of Beados characters! They’ve spent hours constructing designs and then playing imaginatively with them together! Creative time is happy time at our house!

Is there a child in your life who would love to open Beados on Christmas morning?!

What are your best ideas for keeping kids entertained on cold days?
