Crockpot Scalloped Potatoes & Ham

This is what comfort food looks and tastes like.  You’ve gotta splurge sometimes, right? It’s my mom’s recipe, but I didn’t know about it or make it until I moved out and had a family of my own.  I’m so glad I discovered it.

It’s cheesy, creamy, and so delicious!  Throw a tasty dinner in the slow-cooker on a Sunday morning and forget about it while you spend time relaxing with the ones you love.

This is also a great potluck idea!

{CROCKPOT SCALLOPED POTATOES & HAM}

8-10 potatoes, sliced
6-8 pieces of deli ham, chopped, or any other type of cooked ham, diced
1 onion, sliced
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
Paprika
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Put water and cream of tartar in a large bowl.  Stir.  Toss the sliced potatoes in the mixture and fully coat.  Drain the water mixture.  Spray your crockpot with cooking spray.  Layer half of the ham on bottom, then half of potatoes.  Salt and pepper the potatoes.  Then place half of the sliced onions followed by half of the shredded cheese in the crockpot.  Pour one can of soup over the layers.  Repeat the layers and top with paprika.  Cook 4-5 hours on high or on low for 7-8 hours until potatoes are tender.

It’s so tasty and very family-friendly!
