You’ll also need some wax paper and a small piece of Cardstock.
No worries if the edges are uneven. That will be easily fixed later.
While still stuck to the wax paper, fold the card in half to create a crease as a guideline.
Now carefully peel the tape from the wax paper.
Now stick your card to the tape and cut around it.
Place that small rectangle on the sticky side of the tape wherever you’d like it to end up in your finished card. We put ours on the left bottom. Now tear strips that are a little longer than your gift card rectangle (leave about 1/2″ on either side of the rectangle you just stuck down).
Make sure the bottom of your new strip comes below the bottom of the rectangle that you stuck on. Essentially, you want the new strip to have something to stick to on three sides. Make sure it goes pattern side down.
On your last strip for the pocket, fold down the top a bit so the patterned side is showing as a lip.
Now you’ve got a fun pocket that will hold a gift card!
Now do the same to the top inside of the card…
…and the right inside.
Now cover the rest of your pocket with a strip of tape.
Cover the left side of your card with a strip of tape.
Grab a large piece of wax paper and tear it in half.
Now fold down the top a bit.
Place a piece of tape where the two pieces overlap.
