Celebrate springtime with this easy-to-make, festively color-swirled, Starburst® Jellybeans-topped white chocolate Easter Egg Fudge!
Every year my kids and I have a tradition of dying eggs for Easter. We look forward to this fun occasion the Saturday before the special day. We just love how the eggs turn out when we dip them and then make creative, fun designs on them. The more color and pattern the better!
The kids also never let me forget to host our annual Easter Egg Hunt followed by a picnic. It’s usually just a family ordeal, but occasionally we invite friends over to join us. Traditionally we’ve held it at a park, but this year, now that we moved to a bigger place, we have plenty of space in our own yard. We’re looking forward to it!
We just love fudge at our house, so I wanted to “Easter-ify” it by giving a yummy white chocolate base some swirls of pretty color, just like we do when we decorate our hard-boiled eggs, and then topping it with additional pops of springtime hues with some tasty Starburst® Jellybeans!
It’s a delightful experience your mouth won’t soon forget! So soft and rich with the occasional pleasant burst of “fruity”. Did you know Starburst® Jellybeans have real fruit juice? They were just the thing needed to complete this fudge. It’s no wonder Starburst® Jellybeans are the #1 selling jelly bean at Easter. Their flavor is unmatched!
We can’t get enough of them! We love filling our candy dish with them, and they’re a perfect filler for Easter baskets! I’ll be adding a bunch to the plastic eggs for our annual egg hunt. So I stocked up on some of our favorite varieties in preparation for today’s recipe and our upcoming event.
We go way back with the Starburst® Original Jellybeans, but when we saw Starburst® Sour Jellybeans, we knew we’d be hooked! And Starburst® FaveREDS Jellybeans are absolutely genius, because the red ones are our favorites!
How about you? What color are your favorite?
I made a trip to my local Kroger family store to stock up on these Starburst® Jellybeans and found them in them in the holiday candy aisle.
How I love the colors of springtime and the treats that accompany the season! All the happiness of flowers blooming and the cheerful ambiance of birds singing in the background, enveloped in one amazing confection! Yes, folks, your taste buds will want to chime in chorus, just like those bluebirds, at bite one. I’m pretty sure mine did just that.
{EASTER EGG FUDGE}
Makes one 8″x8″ pan
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. sweetened condensed milk
1 pkg. (12 oz.) white chocolate chips
1/2 c. marshmallow creme
3/4 c. Starburst® Original Jellybeans, or your favorite Starburst® Jellybeans variety
Gel Food Coloring (I used orange, pink, yellow, purple and green)
In a heavy pan over low heat, melt butter while moving it around with a spatula to prevent browning. Immediately add sweetened condensed milk and then white chocolate chips. Continue stirring vigorously (so white chocolate doesn’t seize) over low heat until chocolate chips have melted and mixture is smooth. Immediately remove from heat and stir in marshmallow creme.
Working quickly, spread mixture into an 8″x8″ dish that’s been lined with aluminum foil and sprayed with nonstick spray. Add a drop of food coloring to each corner of the pan or around the sides, if using more than four colors. Use a butter knife to swirl the colors around into the fudge. Sprinkle with Starburst® Original Jellybeans, cover and refrigerate until firm. Lift foil from pan, cut into squares and enjoy!
This pretty pastel-swirled fudge is getting me excited for our Easter celebrations! It’s such a fun time of year! I’m looking forward to warmer weather and colorful blooms all around!
