I whipped up this cute and simple Spring Banner the other day using the “Tabbed Pennant Banner” shape in the Silhouette shop and my Silhouette cutter. It could easily be done without the cutter by tracing the simple pennant shape onto patterned paper or cardstock and then cutting out by hand. Then string (I used thin twine), hang (I used double stick tape to adhere the twine in between the tabs so the pennants would stay put), use to spruce up a space, and admire!
I used it as a backdrop for my kids’ Easter photo shoot yesterday. Here’s my little cuties. I’m convinced that it’s an impossible feat getting three children to look in one place, smile, and sit up straight. 🙂 But we still didn’t do too shabby.
Buntings are also fun decorations for parties, kids’ rooms, nurseries, mantels, shelves…the sky’s the limit pretty much.
Pennant banners are so easy to make and add a pop of colorful cheer wherever they hang!
