We’re on the final countdown to Halloween, so if you need a last-minute, easy dessert idea for a party or gift, look no further than this Frankenstein Cookie Bark! And, I’ll show you how to quickly spruce up a bottle of soda to create a cute and spooky “Eye-m” Watching You drink label!
Halloween treats are just too much fun, don’t you agree? My kids come home every day from school and ask what kind of festive snack they get to enjoy. I think I’ve spoiled them a little. 🙂
So often I’m short on time, but I need to bring a treat to this or that event, so I always jump, no leap, with excitement when I find a simple yet crowd-pleasing recipe. Today’s OREO Cookie Bark is one of the easiest, most adaptable desserts you will ever make. In this case, I poured green candy melts over it and used black decorator icing and edible eyes to turn each jagged piece into a mini Frankenstein head, but the options are pretty much endless.
And who doesn’t love OREOs?
I grabbed the Original OREO 2 packs and some festive orange Fanta on my last trip to Albertsons in preparation for today’s fun recipe and craft.
Be sure to look for the Spooky Snack Lab Display in store at Albertsons, Safeway, VONS, Randalls, and Tom Thumb where you’ll find your Fanta and OREO essentials and great recipes and serving ideas that are perfect for Halloween!
Be on the lookout for an exclusive coupon to save $1.50 when you buy (1) Fanta mini-can or 8-pk 12 oz. bottles AND (1) Nabisco Cookie or Cracker (4.5 oz. or larger, any variety)!

Black Decorator Icing
Lightly grease a 9″x13″ pan and line the bottom of it with OREOs. Cut some, as needed, to fill in all the large spaces. Melt your candy melts (I did mine in the microwave for 30 second increments). Pour and spread the candy melts over the OREOs. Put the pan in the fridge and allow the candy melts to set. Using a butter knife, break it into large pieces.
Use the decorator icing to adhere the eyes, then pipe on zig zags for hair and a mouth and then pipe on lines for stitches. Let the frosting set and then serve!
Have you attended any Halloween parties yet? We went to one at my kiddos’ school last week and it was so much fun! They got all dressed up in costume and paid tickets to play carnival-type games. We look forward to Halloween since the clock strikes midnight on November 1st each year. 🙂 It’s definitely our favorite.
My kids are especially excited this time around because Grandpa and Grandma will just happen to be here visiting and will get to go trick-or-treating with them. Fun times!
I can think of so many occasions for this “Eye-m” Watching You Drink to make a spooky appearance this Halloween time. Classroom gifts, parties, prizes, after-school snack surprises, etc.
When you see how easily it comes together, you won’t believe your eyes (hee hee).
You’ll just need some Halloween paper, some orange Fanta, googly eyes, double-sided tape, a paper cutter and a glue gun.
First, measure your paper to be the size of the Fanta label and cut. Adhere it together in the back with a piece of double-sided tape. Lastly, hot glue on various sizes of googly eyes all around the label and that’s it!
This drink has eyes everywhere, so beware! 🙂
What are your favorite ways to celebrate Halloween with OREO and Fanta?
