Today I’m sharing a few fun activities that could be tailored to work at kids’ parties with pretty much any theme.
{BEAN BAG OR BALL TOSS/PHOTO PROP}
I threw my daughter a Rapunzel (Tangled) party for her fourth birthday two years ago. To make this bean bag toss game, I just grabbed a big box that I had saved in the garage, covered it in white butcher paper, and painted a tower scene on the front of it. Notice the little detail of the yellow yarn braid hanging down. 🙂
We also used it as a prop for the kids to stand behind and have their pictures taken. Here’s my baby boy, who’s not a baby anymore!
And here’s the Rapunzel birthday girl.
The kids loved playing behind it. My kids still use the box for puppet shows. They won’t let me throw it out. 🙂
This game is very “princess-y” in this instance, but the scene on the front can be easily switched up to fit pretty much any boy or girl party theme. I could totally see it working for a superhero, circus, hungry caterpillar, princess, jungle theme….and so many others!
Here’s the same sort of idea used for a monster party at Wrinkly vs Irony
and here’s another used for an Angry Birds toss. So cute!

One of my great readers, Krista, submitted a fun game and craft idea from a frog prince/princess party that she threw.
{PIN THE “KISS” ON THE FROG}
Krista found the cute “Kissy Frog Game” at Catch my Party. She made the Frog Prince and printed “kissy” lips with the kids’ names on them. They were blindfolded and told to get the kiss as close to the middle part of the lips as possible.
Here’s the kids playing the fun game.
{MAGIC MIRROR/SWORD CRAFT}
Krista says, “I bought hand mirrors from the dollar store (one for each princess) and swords for the boys (.99 at Partyland). I bought foam stickers and jewels from Walmart and let them go to town decorating their mirror/sword. IT WAS A HIT! And then they had a fun favor to take home.”
She found this idea at Fun Frugal Mom Survivor Tips.
Thanks for sharing these great party activities, Krista!
