Weeknight and weekend meals are made so easy and yummy with these Grilled Honey Mustard Glazed Pork Chops! This is a perfect dish to serve friends at summer BBQ’s and potlucks!
I always tell myself that things will slow down once school is out, but the opposite seems to be true. We move full steam ahead and our days are filled with activities, lessons, errands and chores.
I admit that I rarely feel like cooking when it’s hot outside and I’ve spent the day running here and there and everywhere. So that’s where the handy dandy grill comes into play! We literally grill almost every night of the summer! I love that it requires little to no planning, puts dinner on the table in a hurry, and cleanup afterwards is a total breeze!
Whether dining solely as a family or hosting friends for an outdoor gathering, Smithfield® Fresh Pork is a perfect grilling choice!
I like to head to Albertsons and grab Smithfield Fresh Boneless Pork Chops (our favorite), along with the other ingredients for our meal, while I’m out and about with the kids. It can easily be found in the fresh meat section.
Then, dinner basically makes itself from there! Pork chops grill up in a hurry!
It’s no wonder that championship Pitmasters use Smithfield Fresh Pork in their competitions and on their backyard grill. It’s the best…so full of flavor!
I marinated the pork for about an hour in the most incredible honey mustard teriyaki-type sauce. If you’ve got more time, you can marinate it for longer so the flavors can further seep in and work their magic. But one hour is perfectly sufficient if that’s all you have.
Then I brushed on additional sauce on both sides right before grilling. The outcome was nothing short of phenomenal! I think you’re going to love these!
Grilled Honey Mustard Glazed Pork Chops
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Smithfield Fresh Pork Chops Boneless
- Marinade:
- 1 tsp. mustard
- 1 tsp. cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. honey
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. onion powder
Instructions
- Stir together all marinade ingredients in a bowl. Add pork chops to a resealable bag and pour in about 3/4 of the marinade mixture. Slosh pork chops around in the bag, making sure they get coated well with it. Let rest in the fridge for at least an hour.
- Heat grill to medium high heat and brush it with butter so the pork chops won't stick. Brush pork chops with remaining marinade on both sides and grill for approximately 3 minutes per side, flipping once. Test with a meat thermometer to ensure they are done to perfection! Season with salt and pepper after grilling, if desired.
The honey mustard glaze creates a perfect crusty coating on the outside, while the inside stays tender. Those gorgeous charred grill marks are the sign of a delicious meal about to be enjoyed!
