Have you started your holiday shopping yet? I definitely have not. Like I’ve mentioned before, it’s hard for me to get into the Christmas spirit until after Thanksgiving is over. For me, there’s so many other things to think about until Turkey Day has passed. The day after, though, we crank up the festive tunes, put up our tree and deck our house with Christmas magic. That’s when I really get gung ho about conquering my gift list.
Are you an early morning Black Friday shopper? My husband and I tried that once, and only once. 🙂 Our elbows aren’t pointy enough to meet the the challenge, I guess. Or it could be that we value our sleep more than the possibility of saving money. Either way, we still get in on some fantastic deals from the warmth of our own home, sitting at the computer while still in our pajamas. Technology is wonderful. I do occasionally go out later in the day on Black Friday, after the crowds have gone home to sleep, but I accomplish the bulk of my holiday shopping online.
Speaking of online holiday shopping, did you know that with Citi Tuesdays if you use your Citi® credit card on Tuesdays online at Walmart.com and spend $100 or more on a single, eligible purchase, you’ll receive a free $10 Walmart egift card?!? Essentially, you can save 10% on your purchase! Not too shabby! The gift card will be emailed within ten days after the qualifying Citi® credit card purchase occurs. I’m all about getting money back, how about you?
You could turn around and use the gift cards to purchase more gifts! This is a wonderful time of year, but also an expensive time of year, so I’m always looking for ways to save money, and this is a one of them!
I’m sure your mind is probably very occupied with finding a thoughtful gift for everyone on your list, but is there something special you’re hoping to find under the tree on Christmas morning? What’s your idea of the perfect gift?
If I had to choose just one favorite gift (that money can buy) I’ve been given, it definitely would be my Kitchenaid Mixer.
She’s a thing of beauty. I’ve worked Red to her max over the past few years making cookies, brownies, cakes, rolls, you name it. I don’t know how I ever managed without her. My husband was worried about giving me a mixer for Christmas because he didn’t want me to take it as a command from him to make food. But I assured him that the only thing I felt when I opened that package was sheer, giddy excitement. That mixer is one of my best friends. 🙂 We’ve all benefited from it.
Whether it be a Kitchenaid Mixer or something else, let Citi® and Walmart help you get through your holiday shopping and earn gift cards while doing it!

I was thinking recently, I've never owned a food processor. Maybe this is the year.
