Perfect Poppyseed Bread

To keep the party right on rolling this week, I’m sharing the recipe for a great party food…this delicious and “Perfect Poppyseed Bread”.  I served it at the “HOORAY! Baby Gender Reveal Party” that I threw a little bit ago.
This dessert bread always receives rave reviews at gatherings.  It’s moist and has a slight hint of orange-y taste from the glaze.  The almond and butter extract give it a perfect flavor.  It’s seriously the best I’ve ever had.
{PERFECT POPPYSEED BREAD}
Yield: 2 loaves

3 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 c. sugar (minus 2 T.)
1 1/2 t. salt
 1 1/2 t. baking powder
1 T. poppyseed
1 T. water
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. oil
 1 1/2 c. milk (plus 2 T.)
1 1/2 t. each of vanilla extract, butter flavoring and almond flavoring.
Cream together sugar, water, eggs, oil, milk, vanilla, butter and almond flavorings.  In a separate bowl, stir together flour, salt, baking powder and poppyseed.  Add dry ingredients to wet and mix until combined.  Pour into well-greased and floured loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes to 1 hr., or just until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.  Let sit 10 minutes before removing from pan.  Poke holes in loaf tops with a fork or toothpick, then pour on glaze.
{GLAZE}
1/4 c. orange juice concentrate
1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 t. each (vanilla extract, butter flavoring and almond flavoring)
