Rice Krispie Pops

There are so many ways to dress up a plain Rice Krispie Square!  These are a few that I came up with this the other morning on a whim when I needed a fun treat to bring to our playgroup Easter Egg Hunt.

These are perfect for your kids’ birthday parties, playgroup/class snacks, holiday festivities…you name it!  The kids love them, and they are so easy to make.  And you can customize them for any occasion!

Dip, sprinkle, and eat them right off the stick…
 …or wrap them in cellophane and use them as a cute, edible centerpiece for a party table.

…or drizzle them with chocolate and sprinkle them while they are in the pan, let cool, then cut into squares and serve the pretty things just like this.

{WHAT YOU’LL NEED}

A piece of styrofoam or an old box (you’ll need to pre-poke holes if you’re using a box) to stick your suckers in while they set
Rice Krispie Squares…make them or buy them…either way works
Sucker sticks (preferably long)
Edible Pearl Sprinkles
Colored Candy Melts (mine are by Wilton from Walmart in the cake decorating section)
Cellophane or small bags to cover them and ribbon (or string) to tie them closed
{INSTRUCTIONS}
To make the pops, empty your candy melts into a microwave-safe bowl and melt in 30 second increments, stirring between.  Careful not to burn it!
Grab your Rice Krispie squares and your sucker sticks.  Dip the very top end of the sticks in the melted candy and immediately insert into your Rice Krispie square.  This ensures a good bond between sucker and stick.
Dip your Krispie squares in the melted candy and immediately sprinkle with edible pearls.  Poke into the prepared box or styrofoam and let set.
Wrap with cellophane or insert into small bags and tie!

Enjoy!  Aren’t they fun?HAPPY EASTER!!
