This Sick Day Basket will be a welcome sight to someone in need! It’s a perfect way to store essentials in one, convenient place and also makes a great gift!
It’s that time of the year when the weather turns cool and all of a sudden, the kids are bringing home undesired things from school. Things that seem to overtake the whole family in one fell swoop, leaving no one unaffected. Sometimes I wonder how it’s possible for something to be so potent!
I love autumn time when the leaves change colors and the air is crisp. I love wearing sweaters and boots. I love trips to the pumpkin patch, sharing a feast with family and friends, and sipping hot chocolate to warm myself through. But the downside to this beautiful, eventful season is all the not-so-wonderful days spent laid up, in a quarantine situation, recovering from the latest bug that’s being passed around.
So, in preparation for the inevitable sniffles and scratchy throats that will arise over the coming months, I took a trip to Smith’s and stocked up on important “sick day” items. No one wants to make a late-night or forced, immediate visit to the store because someone fell ill.
I know I’ll thank myself later for having these within close reach!
I like to keep Dial Complete foaming antibacterial wash around, especially during germ season, so we can make sure our hands are good and clean!
And of course we know there can never be too much Kleenex around for a soft place to catch those sneezes! And speaking of sneezes, Breathe Right Strips provide relief for congestion while being drug free and safe to use with any sleep medication.
And when that sneeze turns into an irritated, sore throat, Halls helps soothe it!
Additionally, when you’re feeling miserable, TYLENOL® Cold + Flu Severe Caplets help relieve head and body aches. Theraflu is another one to have on-hand because it offers powerful relief of symptoms without a prescription.
Be sure to take advantage of great savings on these products at Kroger during the month of November!
I nestled the items in a basket along with a fun Fall/Autumn Word Search that you can download below. It’s a great way to take your mind off the unpleasant way you’re feeling while stuck in bed or on the sofa. I attached a “Sick Day Basket” label that you can also download via the link below, for a finishing touch. I think it’d be great to make two of these-one to give and one to keep at home!
I have a feeling this well-stocked basket is going to come in very handy over the next couple months! I’m just glad I’m prepared this time around! Learn more about this topic by visiting the social hub!
I hope you’re enjoying this lovely fall season!
