Make snack time even more fun while teaching counting skills with this Preschool Counting Worksheet!
Back to school is always an exciting and busy time! I’ve got three kids who will be in school this year, including a kindergartener.
All summer long, we’ve been trying to prepare her for the classroom setting. We’ve been reading and counting up a storm! Since counting is such a big focus at the preschool and kindergarten age, and because snack time is a perfect time to let kids settle down and count, I came up with a fun worksheet to do just that!
My kids always ask for Welch’s Fruit Snacks at snack time and in their school lunches. They are so yummy, fun to eat, and easy to tote on-the-go! It’s no wonder Welch’s Fruit Snacks are my kid’s favorite snack!
Which is why, when I stocked up on back-to-school supplies, I made sure I grabbed plenty of these too! Look for them at U.S. grocery retailers in many delicious varieties!
I love that Welch’s Fruit Snacks are made with real fruit and fruit is their first ingredient! If that doesn’t put a big smile on the face, I don’t know what will!
So what could be more fun than snack time? Snack time combined with learning time! I’m all about keeping things simple when it comes to teaching my kids. And when I can incorporate tasty things to eat into the learning experience, all the better!
Welch’s Fruit Snacks are so perfect for this counting game! Kids can arrange the individual pieces until each circle contains the noted number. This is also a great way to help them learn number recognition. Have them sort according to color and variety for another fun spin on the game!
Kids can count and eat as they go! I can’t think of a better way to make memories during snack time!
Thanks to this fun worksheet, the kids will be expert counters in their new classes! What a great way to start a fresh school year on the right foot!
Are your kids ready to hit the books again? Mine are looking forward to new teachers, friends and learning opportunities!
Download and print your Counting Worksheet HERE. *Printables are for personal use only. I recommend printing in color on white cardstock. Feel free to laminate it too!
I wish you and your kiddos all the best in the new school year! I hope it’s an amazing one!
