School night meals don’t have to be complicated! I’ve partnered with Minute® Ready to
Serve Family Bowls in creating today’s delicious Southwest Chipotle Stir Fry and I can’t wait
to show you how it can make your busy evenings so much easier!
Family dinner has always been important to me. No matter how hectic things get in our day,
I always look forward to slowing things down for a bit, gathering around the table and
enjoying conversation together over a yummy meal.
With the kids heading back to school soon, I’m mentally getting ready for evenings filled
with music practice, church activities, homework, and prepping for the next day’s activities.
These things don’t leave much time for fussing over what to eat. So I like to keep our menu
very basic and easily attainable, but that does not mean short on flavor or tastiness!
Minute® Ready to Serve Family Bowls take so much of the stress out of dinner time prep!
The rice is already cooked! Amazing, right?!
This recipe takes 20 minutes or less to put together from start to finish. I call that a big win!
I quickly cooked the kielbasa in a skillet over the stovetop, then added some pineapple
tidbits and chopped chipotle peppers. For the last few minutes while that finished cooking, I
prepared the Family Bowl according to package directions, then stirred it into the meat
mixture with some BBQ sauce and teriyaki sauce. It seriously could not be any simpler to
make!
We used white rice this time, but Family Bowls are available in 100% whole grain brown
rice as well.
This is my husband’s signature dish that he serves our family almost every Sunday, and we
always look forward to it! It perfectly combines the flavors of the southwest with a hint of
Hawaiian and Asian cuisine. I think you’re going to love it!
I loved that cleanup was so easy too! The convenient Family Bowls made it so I didn’t have
to dirty an extra dish because they can be served right out of the disposable bowl!
The 16 oz. Family Bowl is the perfect size to feed a family and is done in just 2 minutes!
Simply remove the film partially to vent, heat the bowl, then serve!
The chipotle peppers can provide as much or as little spice as you like. Remove the seeds
and insides for a slight kick or leave them in for an all-out, albeit phenomenal, heat
explosion!
Then, scoop up some goodness and watch your family smile! My only complaint with this
recipe, up until a short while ago, before I discovered this genius Family Bowls
hack/shortcut, was that the rice took too long to cook. Now, I barely blink and the rice is
done and ready to be added to whatever add-ins we’ve concocted.
Do you ever have those nights where you don’t want to head to the grocery store, so you
frantically scour the pantry and fridge, in hopes of making use of what you already have on-
hand? Yeah, I do that all the time. These Family Bowls are so perfect for just those
occasions! Snag some ingredients that go well together, throw them in a skillet with the rice
from the Family Bowl, and you’ve got dinner!
