It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Can you believe we’re already thinking about the holidays and Christmas? Time flies!
I dream about the holidays all year long, but one of the things I most look forward to is the gift shopping. It’s just too fun selecting something special for each of those wonderful people on the list and then watching their face light up when they reveal what’s inside the pretty wrapping paper. I especially enjoy seeing my kids’ joyful expressions as they open their gifts. It’s simply a magical experience.
We have a tradition in our family of opening up family gifts on Christmas Eve and then Santa gifts on Christmas morning. The kids always write a list to St. Nick and send it off to the North Pole, early in December, detailing each of the items they would love to receive. But then my husband and I get to shop and choose a few gifts for them to open on Christmas Eve from us with love. I have to admit, sometimes we’re a little stumped as to what are the latest trending toys, since we don’t watch TV.
But I just discovered an amazing resource that will eliminate the guess work for us! Enter Kmart Fab 15 holiday toy list! I just perused it and selected one toy for each of my kiddos that I know they would be thrilled to open on Christmas morning!
My oldest daughter is seven and has lost about three teeth in the last month. We’ve been singing her “All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth” and telling her that’s what she’s getting. All kidding aside, she is a total animal lover and would just squeeze and cuddle this GoGo My Walkin’ Pup to bits!
As for my four-year-old son, well, let’s just suffice it to say that he’s superhero obsessed and would probably shout the loudest “Hooray!” ever if he got to open this Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Superheroes LEGO set. The neighbors would wonder what’s going on. 🙂
My sweet two year old daughter cuddles her special stuffed animals to sleep every night, and I’m sure would make room in her arms for this Doc McStuffins Sleepy Time Lambie. How adorable!
Find all of these toys and lots more, from the Fab 15 Holiday Toy List, at Kmart stores and online at Kmart.com! The list includes big brands such as Disney, Barbie, LEGO, FurReal, NERF, Play-Dough, Nickelodeon, VTech, and so much more! It’s basically the ultimate guide for what the kiddos want this Christmas! Kmart carefully selects each of the toys that end up on the list based on industry trends, input from kids and parents and loads of experience…i.e. this list is heavily research-backed! They’ve got us gift-givers covered!
But, it gets even better! Kmart Shop Your Way Members will receive a free trial of the Shop Your Way MAX program (where you’ll get free two-day shipping for six months!) for purchases that happen now through November 22nd.
But let’s not forget to think outside of our immediate circle of friends and family and get into the true holiday spirit of giving by spreading love to those in need. You and I can join with Kmart and St. Jude in helping save the lives of sick children and giving the gift of hope to these suffering children.
Beginning December 7th, when you purchase any of the Kmart Fab 15 toys, $1.00 will be donated to St. Jude – up to $25,000. Donations can also be made at check-out at any Kmart store or online now through December 27th.
Did you know that Kmart is the all-time leading corporate fundraiser for St. Jude? 100% of the donation to the St. Jude Thanks & Giving® campaign goes toward understanding, treating and defeating cancer and other diseases in children.
The holidays, to me, have always been about magic and memories, but especially charity and service, so I love to get behind great causes like this.
Speaking of holiday memories…I have so many unforgettable ones from my childhood. I just have to share a few.
I received a life-size baby doll one Christmas, as shown above. Sorry for the poor photo quality of this scanned image. Remember the “Corn Poppers?” My son got a metal dump truck the other year, like my brother received here, just for the sake of nostalgia. 🙂
Years later and after a few new siblings were added to the clan, when that sweet baby in the pink jammies grew a little older, she received a coveted Teacher Barbie from Santa. You might remember her and her two cute students.
My sisters and I wished we had gotten it instead, because the lucky sister who received it kept it in the original box on a shelf to preserve it for her posterity. I can probably count on one hand the number of times Teacher Barbie saw daylight. When this sister left the house or wasn’t paying attention, we’d run to our shared room and pull it out, quickly play with it, and then return it to the packaging, hoping every hair was in place and dress unruffled, so our sister wouldn’t notice. 🙂 She had a sixth sense for those things. Ahhhh….the adventures of childhood!
I hope your holidays are made easier with the help of the Kmart Fab 15 toy list, and that they are filled with memories to recall and laugh about for years to come.
