There are many people in my life who are so dear to my heart! I am lucky to have wonderful friends and kind neighbors. My kids have great teachers in school this year.
I think sometimes we get caught up in the busy-ness of the day-to-day and forget to tell those around us how much they mean to us. I know I’m certainly guilty of this.
Our neighbors are like grandparents to our children. The kids just adore them. Especially since we don’t have any family nearby, I love that my kids have such a sweet relationship with them. So, with each holiday that comes, we make a special effort to let them know just how much we care about them. So the other day we made Pumpkin Chocolate Chunk Cookies and the kids drew pictures and ran over excitedly to surprise them.
I’ve said many times before that homemade gifts are my favorite to give! They are straight from the heart! A bunch of cookies plus a cute tag is so easy to put together and really sends the message that you appreciate someone.
