These cookies are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. There’s not much more to say. The pictures speak for themselves. It’s pretty hard to beat a soft Snickerdoodle base, loaded with crunchy white chocolate pretzel bits, rolled in a cinnamon/sugar mixture. The combination will “Wow” you, like it did my family and the group of 10 and 11 year old girls that I shared these with at my church.
{WHITE CHOCOLATE PRETZEL
SNICKERDOODLES}
I found the idea at Something Swanky
and then swapped in my own favorite Snickerdoodle recipe.
2 3/4 cup flour
2 t. cream of tartar
1/2 t. salt
1 t. baking soda
1 c. crisco or 1/2 c. crisco and 1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 package (5 oz.) white chocolate covered pretzels (I use Flipz)
For rolling:
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 T. cinnamon
Cream together crisco (or crisco and butter), sugar, and eggs. In a separate bowl, stir together flour, cream of tartar, salt, and baking soda. Add dry ingredients to wet and mix just until combined. Add the white chocolate pretzels and mix for about 30 seconds, or until the pretzels are broken up a bit. Stir together sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Roll dough into walnut-sized balls and then roll in the cinnamon/sugar mixture. .
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes on an un-greased sheet. Don’t over-bake or they won’t be soft!
I bet you can’t eat just one!
