You Fill My Heart with Song Valentine Idea with Free Printable

This mini toy flute Valentine is sure to be a hit with the kids at the class exchange! It’s a great non-candy option!

You know I’m all about the sweets, but when it comes to Valentine’s Day, there are plenty of those to go around. So I typically like to have my kids give out the non-sugar Valentines. Plus, what kid doesn’t love another opportunity to make noise? πŸ™‚

When I saw these cute little flutes at Walmart the other day in the seasonal section for 98 cents per bag of 8, I knew I needed to come up with a cheesy saying to turn them into a class Valentine! I’ve also seen these in the party favor aisle.

I started thinking along the lines of The Sound of Music (one of my favorite shows of all time). When the phrase, “You fill my heart with song!” popped into my head, I smiled a little, imaging Julie Andrews running through the plush, green field singing “The hills are alive…!”

Haha!  Do you love that movie too?

And, see, the nice thing about giving these noisemakers away is that you won’t have to deal with the ruckus in your own home. The parents of the other kids can have a great time with that. πŸ™‚

Funny story-when we only had one child, we thought those little corn popper push toys (do you know the ones I’m meaning?) were so adorable, so we gave our one-year-old one for Christmas.  Well, as luck would have it, her grandparents had the same brilliant idea.  We very soon questioned everyone’s logic on that one. Ha!

Whenever we’d be trying to have some peace and quiet for a moment, she’d tear through the house with the “pop, pop, popping” echoing through our tiny apartment. And if she misplaced one, there was still another to turn to. πŸ™‚

One day, if you can believe it, we woke up to find that the toys had vanished! We weren’t sure what happened to them (wink, wink), but I think Goodwill may have gained some priceless new inventory.  πŸ™‚ And then sweet, sweet tranquility abounded once again, until we added three more kids to the mix. πŸ™‚

Download and print your free tags HERE. *Printables are for personal use only.

I printed the tags out on white cardstock, cut them out, then attached the flutes to them with cute washi tape. Feel free to write “To:” and “From:” on the top or bottom of the card.

I’m not going to speak for the parents, but I know the kids will love this “You fill my heart with song!” flute Valentine! πŸ™‚ They’ll have a blast filling the air with music.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
