Ingredients

  • 4-5 Chicken Breasts
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 c. prepared yellow mustard
  • 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 c. diced yellow onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. water
  • To brown the chicken:
  • 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 c. vegetable oil

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly spray a 9"x13" pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Place in a large bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, stir together brown sugar, mustard, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, diced yellow onion, salt and water.
  • Add a little bit of water to the bowl of chicken (just enough to wet the chicken pieces). Drain excess. Sprinkle flour over, a little bit at a time, lightly tossing the chicken in between, to coat all the pieces with flour. You don't need to use all of the flour, unless it's needed.
  • Pour the oil into a large skillet over the stove top on high heat. Let the oil heat for a minute or two, then add half the chicken pieces. Allow it to brown on one side, then flip and let it brown on the other side. Place the browned chicken in the prepared 9"x13" pan. Repeat the process for the second batch of chicken, then add it to the 9"x13" pan. Spread it out evenly.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken, cover the pan with foil and allow it to bake for approximately 15-20 minutes, or just until the chicken is completely cooked. Stir the chicken halfway through.
  • Serve over rice.
