Spring and Easter are just around the corner! Celebrate by decorating with a happy, colorful candy tree table centerpiece!
We’ve pretty much skipped over winter here. We normally experience a handful of really great storms that bring us the joyous white stuff, but have only seen a few skiffs of it this season. The kids feel a little cheated, having missed out on getting snow days away from school and the chance to do various snow activities. But, the up side is the gorgeous weather and wonderful temps outdoors! We even went on a hike this past weekend without jackets! We’ve been enjoying warm, sunny days and lots of playtime outside together.
It’s getting me so excited for spring time! I love when the trees blossom with beautiful pink and white blooms. I love hearing the birds sing from the treetops in the early morning. And I love seeing butterflies floating in the air once again.
We always decorate our home for Easter a month before the special day. I’m so excited to be able to add this fun candy centerpiece to our collection! I like to use pastels in our spring time decor, so these yummy treats add the perfect pop of color!
M&M’S® Caramel Laydown Bag and STARBURST® Original Jellybeans Laydown Bag are a big part of our Easter festivities! Look for them at Walmart on the seasonal aisles.
I incorporated these goodies into my centerpiece, but they are so perfect for filling eggs and baking too, which I know will be happening here very soon!
We have a fun tradition of having an annual family egg hunt that we look forward to year round. These M&M’S® candies in the grass remind me of the colorful eggs that we get to fill our baskets with each time. Have you tried these M&M’S® candies? The caramel inside is such a sweet surprise!
I’m loving this whimsical candy tree that adorns our table! So let’s Hop to It and get busy creating this cute decor piece!
You’ll need:
A basket or other base for the arrangement
Floral foam
Short Tree Branches
Faux Grass (mine came in one section that I cut to size)
A needle and thread (you’ll want a thicker, heavy duty needle with a large eye)
M&M’S® candies and STARBURST® Jellybeans
Thimble (optional)
Fill your base with craft foam. I stacked two piece on top of each other and trimmed the excess off the top. Cut the grass section to size and place on top of the foam. It should fit snuggly inside. Insert your tree branches. 
Thread a needle, double knotting it at the end. Next, grab a STARBURST® Jellybean and insert the needle through the top portion. You’ll thank yourself for using a thimble on this part to help push the needle through. Pull the needle and the thread through until the knot is snug against the STARBURST® Jellybean. Trim off the end pieces close to the knot, ensuring not to cut off the knot. Tie the STARBURST® Jellybean to the tree and trim the excess thread pieces. Repeat the process until the tree is full of color!
Next, sprinkle M&M’S® candies on top of the faux grass. I wrote a little message on my chalkboard to finish things off. That’s it!
Now display it on a table, shelf or mantel and admire!
I also put together a quick spring treat bag that’s so fun to share with friends! Simply add a mix of STARBURST® Jellybeans and M&M’S® candies to a cellophane bag, then tie with pretty ribbon! I told you it was easy!
