Hi, everyone! I’m Jenn, and I blog over at Endlessly Inspired. I’m so excited to be a part of Christine’s Halloween Extravaganza!
I have a fun and easy treat for you today: Candy Corn Bark!
Look how much fun that is!
But here’s the funny thing: I don’t even like candy corn! I think it tastes like a birthday candle with a tiny bit of frosting on it. Blech. But I love the way it looks, and it instantly makes me think of Halloween when I see it.
And now they make Candy Corn M&Ms, which are super fun. As soon as I saw those, I had to grab a bag, because I knew I wanted to make something with them.
I decided on Candy Corn Bark, mostly because it’s so festive looking, but also because literally anyone can make it. I’m pretty sure my 3-year-old could make this with minimal supervision. It’s pretty much the easiest thing ever.
It’s just a layer of yellow candy melts topped with a layer of white candy melts that has some chopped up candy corn in it. Once you spread that out, just sprinkle on your M&Ms, more candy corn and some orange and yellow sprinkles.
Literally, that’s all there is to it. But it looks all fancy-pants, which is my favorite kind of treat: ridiculously easy but fun to look at.
Candy Corn Bark
Ingredients:
12 oz bag yellow candy melts {I used Wilton}
12 oz bag white candy melts
1 1/2 c candy corn, divided
1 cup Candy Corn M&Ms
3 Tbsp each orange and yellow sprinkles
Directions:
1. Cover baking sheet with parchment paper or a Silpat. Melt yellow candy melts according to package directions and spread in a thin, even layer on baking sheet. Let set for approximately 15-20 minutes.
2. Chop up 1/2 cup of the candy corn into small pieces. Melt white candy melts according to package directions. Once melted, mix in chopped candy corn. Spread mixture over yellow candy melts. Immediately sprinkle with remaining candy corn, M&Ms and sprinkles. Let set and break into pieces.
