Lettuce wraps with sriracha tuna filling are the perfect appetizer or meal! They’re so fresh-tasting and are full of nutritious, satisfying ingredients!
My birthday is coming up on April 22nd! That means I’ll be another year older and wiser too. I like to dwell heavily on the wiser part so the grey hairs and wrinkles don’t get me down. 🙂 We don’t have many plans so far, other than chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream. After all, it wouldn’t be my day if it didn’t involve chocolate in large quantities.
Guess what special occasion is also on April 22nd? Earth Day! So because I love food and I love this beautiful earth, what could be better than putting together some totally delectable lettuce wraps that are good for us and for the environment? It’s a win-win situation!
I was raised on tuna sandwiches. I used to eat them with an entire stalk of green onion.
Weird? Maybe.
But good? Certainly!
Though my breath didn’t fare so well afterwards, I used to look forward to lunch time, knowing the goodness that awaited me.
My tuna-loving taste buds have not changed, even as an adult. I still enjoy finding ways to incorporate it into our meals because it’s just so darn delicious and nutritious!

Here’s how to make them:
Sriracha Tuna Lettuce Wraps
Ingredients
- 2 cans Wild Selections® Solid White Albacore Tuna 5 oz. each
- 1/4 c. diced purple onion heaping
- 1 stalk celery chopped
- 1 red delicious apple chopped
- 1/4 c. sunflower seeds
- 4 oz. light cream cheese softened
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt or to taste
- 1/8 tsp. pepper or to taste
- 1 Tbsp. Sriracha sauce increase or decrease this depending on how much heat you like
- 1 head of lettuce washed and dried, pieces separated.
Instructions
- Drain tuna. In a large bowl, empty the tuna cans and flake the tuna apart. Add purple onion, celery, apple and sunflower seeds.
- In a separate bowl, add cream cheese, cumin, garlic powder, salt and pepper and sriracha sauce. Stir together well. Add to tuna mixture and stir together until sauce coats it completely. Refrigerate for at least one hour before serving. Serve in lettuce pieces. Roll up and enjoy!
With so many intriguing flavors and textures, these lettuce wraps are simply scrumptious and completely refreshing! I love a good meal that leaves me feeling good afterwards.
