Kids’ Closet Transformation

We just remodeled our girls’ closet and I can’t believe the difference! A well-planned shelf and hanging system is what it’s all about!

Here’s what it looked like before. Everything always ended up on the floor. There was nowhere to put their things and no real system of organization. It drove me crazy for 5 years while we worked on other projects and then it was finally time to change it!

Look at it now! One full day of cutting, painting and nailing later and we’ve got a closet that works for my girls. It’s so refreshing now to open the door and see this organized, clean space!

This makes my order-loving heart so happy! After these photos were taken, I painted the back of the door and door frame white to match the front.

My husband built the shelves while I patched up drywall and painted the walls. Teamwork! We’re so pleased with how it turned out! We added a system of wood shelves down the center and then added rods for hanging clothes around it. This awkward space on the right in the closet is now being put to use in the proper way!

I’m seriously still in awe of this transformation! Oh how I love a well-organized closet. I wish we would have done this sooner! Now we need to do the same for our boys’ closet! I can’t wait!

Great work! It's transformations like this that make you just walk in, open the door and gaze at the glory! I'll bet your boys will be happy to have theirs done too...only not so amazed, as guys just don't seem to get it.
