I gave my laundry room a much-needed refresh in this Laundry Room Makeover project! The difference a bit of paint can make is huge!
Here’s what it looked like before. The pink linoleum tiles had to go! But, without the budget to do a full demo and replacement, I chose to paint it.
It was just boring, yucky, and grungy-looking. With as much time as I spend here, I want it to be my happy place-bright and cheery and clean! So that was the goal in this little makeover project.
It really only took about 3-4 hours total to give this room a whole new look!
I didn’t even have to leave the house to purchase supplies! I had everything I needed on-hand. I used Rust-Oleum RockSolid HOME floor paint from Home Depot. I’d already used it on my mudroom floor makeover, if you’ll remember that, so I used some of the leftovers (just the white).
I’ll let you in on a little secret. Call me lazy, but I didn’t feel like moving a washer and dryer to paint underneath them, so I painted around them. And you’d never know it.
Then I painted the closet door and frame in a color I’d already used on my walls in another room. I ordered a vintage farmhouse metal sign (currently unavailable on Amazon where I got it, but here’s a similar one and here’s the same one from another seller and site) and then a wicker hamper for functionality (and I think it’s pretty nice-looking too). 🙂
The rug is from RugsUSA. I love the pattern, color and the tassels! Basically, I love everything about it. 🙂
The decor piece above the washer and dryer is from Hobby Lobby a while ago.
What do you think? I’m totally obsessed with this new space! It feels so fresh and bright! It’s a pleasant place to spend a lot of hours. 🙂
