Get the family painting with fruit for a craft project that’s messy yet fun and unique! Then freshen up afterward with the help of Dial® products from Walmart!
I’m always looking for new activities and opportunities to get creative with my kids! Now that they are on summer break, we love spending as much time as possible outdoors! So, I cut up some fruit and veggies and we got busy painting up a storm! We took it outside to our picnic table because I knew it would get messy! Plus, the weather’s been so gorgeous, so we wanted to be out there anyway! The kids were a little puzzled when I handed them bell peppers, limes, oranges, carrots, tomatoes, apples, and celery and told them to make something pretty with paint on their paper! Ha! But it didn’t take them long to figure out I was serious and to get really excited about the possibilities! And what kid doesn’t jump at the chance to get grimy?
I’m never afraid to make messes with my kids because I know Dial will take care of the aftermath on my arms and hands! I always keep Dial® Complete Spring Water Foaming Hand Wash at our sinks because it’s tough on dirt and bacteria while being gentle on our hands. This foaming hand soap is #1 Dr. Recommended, kills 99.99% of bacteria found in the home, plus it’s mild enough for frequent use. What’s not to love?! I enjoy the brisk scent and my skin is left feeling healthy and fresh afterwards!
I went to Walmart in preparation for this fun afternoon craft and picked up all the supplies needed, along with Dial soap and body wash, because those are essentials too! I’m crazy for Dial® Spring Water Body Wash! Its scent is so refreshing and my skin feels so clean, hydrated and amazing afterwards! I also grabbed the Dial® Complete Foaming Handwash Refill in Spring Water, because you can never have too much of a good thing!
Dial is easy to find in the self care section at Walmart. Here’s what you’ll need to create this craft:
I sliced up a nice variety of fruits and veggies so there would be lots of creative options. Feel free to add in any you’d like! You’ll also need some washable paint, paint brushes, and paper. To save on paint, I provided the kids with brushes so they could paint onto the fruit and then stamp, as dipping tends to overuse paint.
Let the kids stamp to their heart’s content and make clever designs with the fruit! I always enjoy seeing how unique each masterpiece turns out! By the time we were done, we had paint all over our hands and arms, but I didn’t fret one bit!
One trip to the sink and Dial took care of that! We’re looking forward to many more messy art projects in the coming months! Do you love to craft with your kids?
The kids love when mom joins in on the fun. Creating colorful paintings is a great way to make memories together! Happy summer!
