Simple DIY Spring Decor Ideas

Spring is just around the corner and I’m ready to start decorating my home in pastels!  Goodbye cold and dreary and hello sunshine!  I’m hoping the weather here will get the memo that the season is about to change.  So far it’s been a little too chilly for my taste.  At least my daughter’s spring break from school is later this year, so the chances are greater that we won’t have to wear coats when we go on outings. 🙂
I just love spring colors.  Don’t you? They make me so happy!  I’ve put together a bunch of very simple ideas to bring some fun pops of color into your home.

Find out how to make this very easy Bird’s Next Pedestal at The Idea Room.

These Seasonal Chalkboard Vases from Midwest Living are so clever!

This is a super inexpensive project from Living Well Spending Less and the green is beautiful!

I’m loving this gorgeous spring mantel from Adventures in Decorating!

This is such a pretty fruit display from Better Homes and Gardens.

These pastel spray-painted Mason jars from Home and Garden Design Ideas would be so easy to pull off and would add wonderful color to a room!

This pretty setup from Thrifty Decorating looks complex, but the bunting was actually made from a paper grocery bag and acryllic paint!  Very do-able.

This vintage watering can filled with artificial flowers from Midwest Living is a perfect door decoration!

Such a simple yet profound floral display! Get the free chalkboard printable at Yellow Bliss Road.

This Spring Wreath from A Pumpkin and a Princess was made with paper flowers, but to simplify it, just sub in ready-made flowers from the scrapbook section of any craft store.

Here’s the Spring Wreath that I made this year, in case you missed it.

Stop by The Idea Room to find out how to make this fresh-looking Spring Sign.

This Easter Egg Garland from Eclectically Vintage is so adorable!  The color scheme and patterns could be easily interchanged to fit your taste, too!

I hope you’ve been inspired! I’m on my way to pull out my past years’ spring decor, and hopefully I’ll add one of these new pieces to it this year.

When do you typically put up your spring decor?

Lots of great ideas - thanks for sharing. I took my St Pats Day mantel stuff down yesterday and now I need to do a Spring-Easter one. I have lots of ideas from here now.

What a fun round up of ideas for spring. I really should put my snowmen and penguins away now. Maybe it's my fault we still have snow on the ground here in Michigan! Time to switch up the decor!
