Each week comes with its new challenges that seem to want to get in the way of me making dinner. Which is why I love having a plan in place, so those excuses don’t get the better of me when they don’t need to. Last weekend I got really sick and wasn’t able to cook, so that altered the plans a bit. Luckily, my wonderful family stepped in and took care of me. But we still did eat four very delicious meals throughout the week!
Stir Fry Rice. I’ve been meaning to post this recipe on the blog and will do that very soon. We enjoy this often on the weekends. My husband and I have our own recipe that we’ve fine tuned over the years. Can’t wait to share it!
Sloppy Joes. This is seriously the best! We eat it on buns, but our favorite way is over mac ‘n cheese! It’s also really yummy made as this original recipe calls for, into bundles. If you’re going to eat it on buns, I recommend doubling the recipe.
Ravioli Lasagna. I took this to a Valentine’s Tea Party with my girls and everyone raved about it! It’s always a hit and so easy to make!
Chicken Tetrazzini. This is a favorite family recipe that goes way back. All my kids love it!
Heart Shaped Pizzas. For our Valentine’s Day family dinner I made two heart shaped pizzas using THIS dough recipe, then shaping them into hearts using THIS method. It was such a fun and yummy way to celebrate! Then we had chocolate fondue with all the dippings for dessert!
Happy cooking! I hope you are feeling more inspired to make dinner for your family! I’d love to hear what’s on the menu for you this week!
