Bunny Pouch Kids’ Craft

Get in the spring time mood with this fun Easter Bunny Pouch Kids’ craft! Fill them with grass, treats, and other fun surprises! These are so easy to make and cute way for the kids to carry around a snack!

I’m so ready for spring to be here.  Not that, that will magically fix the fickle warm and cold weather we’ve been having. But at least there’s a greater hope once it’s official. 🙂

My kids are looking forward to our annual family Easter Egg Hunt, along with coloring eggs and waking up to find their goodie-filled baskets waiting on the special day. The festivities associated with the holiday are just too fun!

I have a preschool-aged daughter who’s always asking to “do a craft with mom”. I’d seen a similar idea for these bunny envelopes on Martha Stewart, so I decided to change up the design a little bit and make it into a cute carrying case with the help of the ribbon strap!

Plus, the kids will get a kick out of the treats contained inside!

All it takes to make these are a few basic supplies that you probably already have on hand.

Then, the kids can get busy practicing their cutting and gluing skills while putting together a cute little envelope bunny!

You’ll need some scissors, glue (both a glue stick and liquid glue), ribbon, invitation envelopes (white or any pastel color would be cute), Easter grass, pink pom poms, white and pink paper, and a black marker and a stapler (not featured).

Start by gluing your envelope closed using a glue stick. Now turn it upside down and cut a very thin strip of the long edge off so the top will be open. Make a pattern for the ears and cut two for each bunny out of the white paper. You’ll want to leave a little extra room on the bottom of the ears so you can glue them inside the envelope.

Use liquid glue to glue a pink pom pom to the center of the envelope for the nose. Now draw on whiskers and eyes with your black marker. You could also glue on googly eyes instead of drawing them. Make sure you have the envelope facing the right direction (with the open side up) when you do this.

Cut pink pieces of paper to fit inside white ear pieces. Use your glue stick to glue the pink pieces to the center of the white pieces.  Now glue two ears to the front inside of the envelope.

Cut a piece of ribbon to be long enough for a strap. Staple it to the inside back of the bunny.

Now fill it with Easter grass and candy or small prizes! This is such a fun way to get the kids excited about Easter!

Happy crafting!

Thanks Chelsea! I'm all about easy crafts that the kids can do mostly on their own, and this is one of them!

Super cute bunny pouch. I tried to pin them but Tailwind said there were no URLs attached to them.

Thank you! Sorry for the trouble with pinning! I'm not sure why that happened. Did you try pinning directly from the post?
