A chocolate lover’s dream come true, these Chocolate Oreo Cookies are so fudgy-good, you won’t be able to stop at just one!
What’s better than an Oreo cookie? An Oreo cookie crushed up and put in another cookie! My daughter and I decided we needed to make the ultimate homemade chocolate cookie and crush Oreo cookies, then roll the cookie dough balls in more crushed Oreo cookies! Because you can never have too much of a good thing!
These cookies are brownie-like in their taste with a soft center. They’re loaded with chocolate goodness from the melty chocolate chips to the cocoa-infused dough and the chocolate sandwich cookies studded throughout. And then, as if that’s not enough, there are additional chocolate chip surprises in every bite.
You might ask…are they over-the-top? Heavens no! π You’re going to be coming back for more and more!
My oldest daughter has been my little kitchen apprentice over the summer. We love spending time together baking. I love that she’s learning the ways of cookie-making so she can take over my job at some point, at least part time. π
I enjoy the process of creating cookies from start to finish. Possibly the best part about it is testing the dough. It’s better than the final result in my opinion! Don’t you agree? My recent poll on Instagram said 88% of you enjoy eating cookie dough! I’m with you! I can’t resist it! If eating it is wrong, then I never want to be right!
Of course for safety purposes, I’m not encouraging eating raw cookie dough at all. But I’ll probably continue to do so until the end of time. π
Just look at that delightful crunchy cookie coating! These tested my self control to the max! If you are looking for a dessert to bring to that summer potluck, this is it! These will fly right off the platter! I’m adding these to my list of my top favorite cookies, right up there with these Chocolate Turtle Cookies, these Rocky Road Brownie Cookies and these Snickerdoodle Cookies. There are so many dreamy cookie recipes on this site, it’s difficult to select just a few!
