Creepy Crawly Spider Wreath

I’m so happy to have Emily from Naptime Creations here today, and I think you will be too, because she’s sharing how to make an adorable Creepy Crawly Spider Wreath!

Fun, right? I’m so thrilled with how this turned out, but my favorite part of this spider wreath is the spiders! They add a pop of color and they way they stick out adds a fun dimension! I’m going to show you how to make your own.

You will need:
Felt spider webs! Mine are from IKEA, but you can cut them from felt, buy some at a craft store or just use black yarn.
Sticks
White paint {spray paint would be best}
Black and purple pipe cleaners.
Black ribbon for the hanger.

I have twine in my photo, but I ended up not using it.
Start by breaking and shaping your sticks into a wreath shape. Mine has six sides and I made sure some of the sticks had pieces branching out. Use hot glue to secure the sticks together.

I played around with several sticks to find the shape I wanted for my wreath base. When the base is finished, paint it white. I didn’t have white spray paint, but that would be the easiest way to cover this wreath.

Now, let’s make some spiders! Cut the black pipe cleaners in half. Wind each half around your finger to create a spiral.

Cute the purple pipe cleaners into four pieces and put the four pieces through the center of the spider. Bend the legs to create the spider shape you need.

Now, take your felt spider webs and arrange them around the wreath. Use hot glue to secure the spider webs to the sticks. If you are using black yarn, wind it around the white sticks to create a web. Hang a black ribbon from the top for the hanger.

Hopefully you have some sticks protruding from your wreath so you can glue your spiders in fun places. Now, hang and enjoy!!!
