Pizza, Pie and Game Night! {The Easiest Grasshopper Pie Recipe}

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Tony’s Pizza, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #tonyspizzeria http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV.
If there’s three things my family loves, it’s pizza, pie and board games! Can you relate? It’s a perfect trio, meant to be together. So the other night, we invited some friends over and had a…wait for it…Pizza, Pie and Game Night! It was a blast to say the least.
Host a Pizza, Pie and Game Night {The Easiest Grasshopper Pie Recipe}
Possibly my favorite part was that it required very little planning and preparation.  I had a busy day with my son’s preschool field trip, errands, and getting ready for my daughter’s upcoming birthday party, so I didn’t have a lot of time to devote to it.  That being said, it still went off without a hitch and our guests thoroughly enjoyed the food and entertainment.  I mean, what’s not to love about pizza, pie and games?
I grabbed some Tony’s Pizzas at Walmart on my weekly grocery shopping trip, baked them up, and served them with salad, veggies and fresh fruit.  Ordering takeout can be expensive, so my wallet was very pleased with my Tony’s Pizza purchase.  Especially when I whipped out a Coupons.com offer and saved 75¢ on TWO (2) TONY’S® multi-serve pizzas (11.04 oz or larger). Print your coupon HERE (while supplies last) to save on your own pizza party, game night with friends or just a night in with the family.

Tony's Pizza
Tony’s Pizza has a perfectly crunchy, crispy crust, is topped with real cheese and slathered with sauce using real tomatoes for an authentic pizzeria taste!
The kids enjoyed a Cheese Pizza to themselves…
…while the adults went all in with a Meat-Trio, Pepperoni, and Supreme.  We definitely couldn’t say no to oodles of toppings. 🙂  The more the better in my book.

Tony's Pizza
It’s not a party without lots of great-tasting pizza! This is what dinner in 20 minutes looks like.  I’m a fan.
Right after devouring the pizza, we moved right into games.  Kids’ bed time has a way of keeping parents right on schedule.  Because when the “kid alarm” goes off, it’s all over.  🙂 There was a small window of time to play games before the interruptions began, and we took full advantage of it.

We’re big board game collectors, so it was difficult to narrow down what to play with our friends.  We selected three (The Adventurers, Dixit, and Zooleretto), and then allowed our guests to choose from there.  It ended up being a no-brainer because the only one they hadn’t played was The Adventurers.
I’d highly recommend it, especially if you’re an Indiana Jones fan.  You’ll live life on the edge for a little bit, dodging collapsing walls, a rolling boulder, and running through the Temple, while trying to make it out with treasure still in tact.  It’s intense!

The hubby ended up dying and we others had to ditch lots of precious gold in order to lighten our load so we could move faster.  But we made it out by the skins of our teeth!  Whew!

Now, what am I missing here?  Oh yeah.  The perfect evening just wouldn’t be complete without dessert!  This Chocolate-Mint Grasshopper Pie is quite possibly the simplest thing you’ll ever make.  And talk about yummy!

If you’re a mint/chocolate fan like we are, this one’s for you!  And, there’s only three ingredients!

The Easiest Chocolate-Mint Grasshopper Pie

{THE EASIEST
CHOCOLATE-MINT
GRASSHOPPER PIE}
1 ready-made Oreo Pie Crust
3 1/2 cups Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
Chocolate Syrup for topping
Bring the ice cream out of the freezer and wait until it’s nice and soft, but not too melty.  You want it to be a stir-able, spread-able consistency.  Measure 3 1/2 cups in a bowl and stir until smooth.  Then spread into crust.  Drizzle chocolate syrup on generously and freeze until firm, at least 2 hours.

The Easiest Chocolate-Mint Grasshopper Pie

Mmmmmm!  A crowd-pleasing refreshment and perfect finale to an exciting evening!
Thanks to #tonyspizzeria, it’s so easy to host a memorable Pizza, Pie and Game Night with friends!

    Thank you for the pie recipe. It looks delicious.
    Like board games, then consider watching .check out TableTop hosted by Wil Wheaton from Geek and Sundry dot com, their YouTube channel. I want to buy a board game every time I watch. Half hour show, four of them sit around a table playing a board game. Lots of fun.
