Every Sunday I make a weekly menu plan on my phone and then order groceries for pickup. It keeps me organized and I’m not wondering what we’re going to have for dinner every night or making special trips to the store to grab last-minute ingredients. This system has really been working well for me over the past year and I find that I cook so much more when I already have a plan and what I need on-hand.
Here’s what we ate for dinner last week!
Rob’s Rice. This is newly up on the blog! We typically eat this once a week. The whole family loves it! My husband and I make it together every Sunday.
Instant Pot Mac and Cheese. My kids would have this at least once a week if it were up to them. 🙂 It’s so cheesy-good!
Crockpot Scalloped Potatoes and Ham. I hadn’t made this in so long and forgot how yummy it is! Plus, crockpot meals are always a good idea!
Indian Butter Chicken. My family goes crazy for this! If I don’t feel like making it completely from scratch, I use a jar of Masala Simmer Sauce from Trader Joe’s and then add in sauteed diced onions, 1 tsp. garam masala, and at least 1 tsp. of ginger garlic paste. I sprinkle the chicken chunks with garam masala while cooking. I serve it with homemade Naan or pre-made Stonefire naan from Costco, if I’m feeling lazy. I toast each naan and brush it with ginger garlic paste and sprinkle with parsley just before serving.
Happy cooking! I hope you have a wonderful week!
