How is your summer going so far? My kids and I are having some really enjoyable days, soaking up the rays while out and about doing various activities, then cooling off indoors. I love when my kids are home full time! We have a list about a mile long with things we’d like to do over the coming months before school starts again. So much to accomplish and so little time! 🙂

It seems like after the holiday months are over, we kind of shift our focus away from gift giving. But I love to show those I care about some thought and appreciation year round by sending a simple and cute care package! Because who doesn’t love receiving surprise goodies in the mail?! I know I get giddy when I get to open a fun, unexpected box with treasures inside.

This would make a great gift for new neighbors or old ones too! It’s also perfect for siblings and parents, aunts, cousins, or grandparents who live far away. No matter who is on the receiving end of this colorful package, it’s sure to brighten someone’s day in a big way!

When I’m putting together gifts, I always like to include at least one item that is yummy smelling and longer-lasting like lotion, soap, bath bombs, or body wash. And then I typically fill in the rest with good things to eat! I knew today’s gift wouldn’t be complete without Mrs. Meyer’s® Lavender Body Wash! I wish you could smell it through the photo! Just like heaven!

I think everyone deserves some pampering, and this body wash is a great way to do just that!

The rich, moisturizing formula and garden-fresh scent are perfect for lathering up and getting a little “pick-me-up” during your daily shower. Because who said showering can’t provide a therapeutic experience?

This care package is so simple to put together and is a great way to send some happy summer vibes in a special someone’s direction!

I found some cute floral scrap paper in my craft closet and lined the inside flaps with it. I used double sided tape so the paper wouldn’t bubble. Then I attached the “Sunshine Tag” (download and print that below). Next, I layered some yellow tulle on the bottom of a shipping box and added Mrs. Meyer’s® Lavender Body Wash and some brightly-colored yellow and orange candies in mini jars.

I thought some accordion paper flowers would be the perfect finishing touch! They come together in a hurry and can easily be tailored to whatever color scheme you choose for your box.

Begin by cutting two strips of paper that are about 1″ wide and 12″ long. Fold both strips accordion style, ensuring that the folds are the same size for both strips. Now take each accordion, fold it together, and cut a “V” shape in one of the edges.

Using hot glue, attach the two accordion pieces together, ensuring the patterned sides are on one side and the plain sides are on back. Now bring the ends together and hot glue them. Now you can see the flower starting to take shape.

Hot glue a large circle to the back of the accordion flower for support. Then cut a smaller circle for the front and attach it with hot glue. That’s it! I made two of these to fill in empty space and further carry out the summer theme.
