Oh my goodness, do I have a treat in store for you today! I love a good cookie bar, and these festive Candy Corn Oreo Blondies are sure to hit the spot! Have you tried the seasonal orange and yellow cream-filled delights? To me they’re absolute perfection. I posted a picture of a package of Candy Corn Oreos on Instagram not long ago and got mixed responses. Are you a fan or a hater? 🙂 They usually fly off the shelves, so I always get super excited and stock up when I see them. My Target always carries them this time of year, but I’ve never found them at Walmart for some reason.
Even if you don’t like them, you can simply make the base cookie dough recipe and then sub in a Golden Oreo instead. Those would be exceptional-tasting as well. Or sub out the crushed cookies altogether and just add white chocolate and/or milk chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, M&M’s, nuts…so many possibilities, and all will produce fantastic results.
The dough bakes up into a soft and chewy simply awesome (because there’s no other word for it) bar that just about melts in your mouth fresh out of the oven. It’s one of my top two go-to cookie recipes now!
{CANDY CORN OREO BLONDIES}
Recipe adapted from Simply Kierste
1 c. butter
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
3/4 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
10 (1 row) Candy Corn Oreos, coursely crushed
1 c. white chocolate chips
Mix butter and sugar until creamy. Beat in egg. Stir together dry ingredients and then mix with the wet until combined. The dough will be thick, so just keep mixing until it makes a dough consistency. Then stir in the crushed Oreos and white chocolate chips by hand. Press dough into the bottom of a greased 9×13 pan and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 20 minutes. Let cool slightly, then enjoy! I crushed the Oreos by placing them in a Ziploc bag and going over them a few times with a rolling pin. I saved about 1/8 cup of the bits and 1/8 cup chocolate chips out to press into the top before baking them.
