DIY Starburst - I Dig Pinterest

Before I start today’s post, I wanted to announce that in the coming summer months I will be mainly posting 3 days a week so I can spend lots of time with my kiddos having fun in the sun! I hope you have lots of exciting things planned for your summer too. It’s such a great time of year.—

I’m so excited to be featuring Ashley from Love From Home today! She submitted a beautiful sunburst or starburst decor piece that she made for the space about her bed. You won’t believe what it’s made of and how quickly it came together!

When I saw this starburst on Pinterest, I knew it was PERFECT for the empty space above our headboard in the Master Bedroom.

To be completely honest, when I saw that it was made of poster board in the TUTORIAL, I was a little worried it would look terrible once I made it. However, I found a mirror for cheap (only $6), so I figured for $8 total after buying poster board, it was well worth the risk.

I am SO EXCITED about how it turned out. It. Looks. AMAZING. I don’t even think it looks like poster board, honestly.

I just love it!! I followed the tutorial exactly, so if you want to make your own, check out that link above. It was super easy to do and only took like 2 hours. I definitely think it was worth it!

Thanks so much for sharing this project with us, Ashley! It looks absolutely perfect! It would be really neat to use a colored posterboard, too, for a fun pop in a kids’ room!
