Frankenstein Brownie Pops

Kids love to get crafty in the kitchen.  So pull out the makings for these fun Frankenstein Brownie Pops and let them go to town.  They’re a fun after-school snack or a perfect Halloween party dessert.  My daughter couldn’t wait to get home from school the other to make these with her brother.  They loved that they got to do everything on their own.  It’s a totally kid-friendly treat!
Simply grab a box of brownies, dip the fronts in melted green candy, then have a ball decorating these cute little guys!  The Frankies can be happy, grumpy, mean, mad, surprised, or whatever emotion you’d like depending on the face you pipe on!
To finish them off, insert sucker sticks and pop them in the refrigerator to harden.  Then enjoy with your kiddos!
{INGREDIENTS}
1 box pre-packaged Fudge Brownies
1 pkg. green candy melts
black decorator icing
brown sprinkles
sucker sticks
gum drops
candy eyes (not shown, sorry!)
Melt candy melts in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between.  Coat the fronts of the brownies in candy melts.  Immediately add eyes, sprinkles for the hair and gumdrops for bolts.  Dip the bottoms of the gumdrops in candy melts to adhere them to the brownie.  Set on a plate or cookie sheet.  When candy melts are set, pipe on mouth and stitches.  Dip ends of sucker sticks in candy melts and insert into brownies.  I purchased extra-long sticks so they could go further into the brownies for better support when holding upright. Refrigerate so the brownies will harden and melts will set all the way.

    I love how you used brownies instead of puffed rice treats! I've been wanting to make these, but abandoned the project because my 18 month old would have gone nuts if she couldn't eat them (rice crispy treats are still tough for her because she only has 4 teeth!). But your brilliant brownie idea saved the day! Thanks for sharing!

    I really seriously love your blog. The other blog is awful, I can't believe their cheek! I hope they read your entry and feel the shame!
