Game Day Snack Station

Treat your guests on Game Day to a luscious OREO® Ice Cream Cake and cute chalkboard cans filled with buttery popcorn! Today I can’t wait to share with you how easy it is to set up a mini snack/treat bar for a party with friends!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again that Game Day for me is all about the delicious food! The hubby gets into the awesome plays and the resulting well-earned touchdowns, while I’m over there in what I call “heaven” with a plateful of cake and a handful of popcorn, perfectly content. 🙂

If there are two things every party needs, no matter the occasion, it’s popcorn and cake! Especially when we’re talking about a phenomenal OREO® Ice Cream Cake from I Love Ice Cream Cakes! It’s a great way to treat those guests to a phenomenal dessert without all the work!

Ice cream cakes are available at your local grocery store (use this handy store locator to find them near you) in different styles and sizes, including original Carvel®, Peanuts®, Hello Kitty® and Jon Donaire®.

I dressed it up just a little bit by displaying it on a scalloped cake stand and attaching a quick football-themed, mini pennant banner. I just cut out some small triangles in green cardstock, wrote yard line measurements on them with a chalkboard marker and attached them to some jute with tape. It doesn’t get any easier! I’m all about simple and cute when it comes to entertaining!

Then, because popcorn and ice cream cake were meant to be companions, I threw together some popcorn containers with some old, upcycled veggie cans. I cleaned them and let them dry completely, taped some chalkboard paper around and wrote football terms/callouts on each one with white chalkboard marker. These are no sweat to make in bulk for all the party guests!

I set everything up on a brown kraft paper-lined small table.
