I can’t let a year pass by without sharing my fun Halloween Mantel. I so look forward to decorating the house for this spooky holiday. The kids love to help too.
We got home at 1:00 AM from our Disneyland trip, and that same day after church the kids were begging to put up the Halloween decorations. I had promised them, so in lieu of a much-needed nap, we spruced up the house with pumpkins, skeletons, spiders, and bats. Sleep is overrated! Ha!
I typically stick with the same basic elements and then add in a few new ones each year to shake things up a bit.
You may recognize these “31” numbers from my Halloween Photo Collage Wall last year.
These Trick-or-Treat Wood Blocks are also an oldie but definite goodie that I can’t keep from including. They’re probably my favorite Halloween piece.
I included an old broken clock with a Dollar Tree skeleton topper. I also threw some dried wheat in a glass vase for additional appeal. I like that it brings the element of fall into the setting.
I shared how to make the Ribbon Bat Bunting the other day. I just had to include a spiderweb with a giant black spider too. The kids appreciated that one. 🙂 Then I placed a light-up pumpkin from Target and a witch’s boot that I purchased unfinished from The Wood Connection years ago and painted, at the base of the mantel.
What do you think?
I love how it all came together. The mantel is definitely my favorite location in the home to decorate for Halloween. Probably because there are so many fun things all in one place!
Are your Halloween decorations already up?
