My big Valentine’s Mantle Reveal is tomorrow! I can’t wait to show it to you! I hope you’ll stop by to see it.
My mantle needed a little something more this year, and when I saw this simple heart banner on Pinterest, I knew it was just the thing.
If you have a Silhouette or a Cricut, this project will be made much easier, but you could also draw a pattern, trace out your flags (I made 8), and then cut using an “Exacto” or another craft knife.
I chose hot pink cardstock because it coordinates nicely with my mantle color pallette, but I love the black from the original also. I bought the 4 love banner flags design from the Silhouette shop for .99, resized it to my liking in Silhouette Studio, laid out my flags and then cut. Lastly, I just strung them onto some jute, or twine that I had on-hand (you can purchase it at Walmart). You could also use yarn, string, or ribbon.
Ta Da! It’s that simple…I promise! It probably took a max of 20 minutes from start to finish, and that’s a generous estimate. Thank you Pinterest once again!
What do you think? Could your mantle use one of these?
I hope you won’t be afraid to try it and make it your own. Happy Pinning!
