Sweetheart Fudge

I hope you’re not tired of Valentine’s stuff yet, because I’ve got a few more ideas up my sleeve to share before the big day. 🙂
I was surfing Pinterest last week looking for a fun, festive treat to give the cute kids in the playgroup that I take my son to every Friday.  I found this little gem nestled in my Valentine’s board on Pinterest.  I browsed the recipe, opened my pantry and saw that I already had the two ingredients (yes only 2 ingredients, people!), and whipped a batch up in a matter of minutes!
Check out this plate of fudgy goodness.

After letting it set up in the fridge, I cut little squares and packaged them in cute Valentine’s cellophane bags from the Target dollar section.

This is a very kid-friendly treat.  It’s a fun color, and it’s oh-so-sweet and yummy!  It’s also adult-friendly, unfortunately, as it fulfilled my sugar craving…more than once. 🙂   My husband sampled some and made the observation that it tastes like the conversation hearts.  I didn’t make that connection to begin with, but after he said that, I could taste the resemblance.  Because of its richness and sweetness, I could actually enjoy this fudge in small quantities instead of over-indulging and regretting it later.  It was fabulous!

{TWO INGREDIENT SWEETHEART FUDGE}
Adapted from HERE1 Bag of White Chocolate Chips
1 Container of Pink Frosting (cherry or strawberry)

Instructions: Spray a 9×9 pan with cooking spray.  In a microwave-safe bowl
melt the white chocolate chips in 30 second increments, stirring in between.
Pour the melted chocolate chips onto the frosting and mix until no
white shows.  Pour mixture into prepared pan.
Make swirls, sprinkle with hearts, and candy.
Let set in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.  Enjoy!

It’s easy, festive, and tasty!  A perfect Valentine’s treat!
