What We Ate for Dinner Last Week

I swear every week gets busier and busier! There are always so many events crammed onto the calendar. Is it the same way for you?

One thing I’ve learned is that if I want a homemade dinner to happen, I have to plan, plan, plan! I have to be very intentional about sitting around the table with my family instead of choosing the easier option of grabbing a bite to eat while I’m out. Grabbing fast food, even just a few times a week, for a family of six adds up really quickly! So, to save on costs and calories, I try to cook at home as often as possible.

Cooking can feel so inconvenient, tiresome and monotonous at times. I always thought I loved cooking until I became a wife and mom and felt the burden of doing it day in and day out. 🙂 But I have made a priority of it so my family can gather and bond over good food and also save money! If you’re in the same boat, I hope these yummy meal ideas give you the motivation to keep cooking for your family!  If you’d rather not cook every night, like me, be sure to make larger portions so you can have leftovers! Breakfast for dinner is so easy and yummy! We try to do that at least once or twice a month. Make one night a “fend for yourself night” or an “easy night” where you cook up a frozen pizza or a frozen lasagna.

Here’s what we ate for dinner last week:

Chicken Alfredo Garlic Bread

Mom’s Spaghetti and Meatballs

Instant Pot Pork Chops. I added in diced potatoes and baby carrots to make it a full meal. I love that it all cooks together and is so easy and quick! I use THIS Instant Pot and love it!

Chicken Burrito Skillet. This made tons, so we had it for two nights. I love that it’s all made in one pan, so the cleanup is so easy! The kids are already asking when I’m going to make it again!

Have a wonderful week! I’d love to hear what you’ve been cooking for dinner lately or what you’re planning on making this week!
