I want summer to linger as long as possible, because we’ve been having so much fun outdoors, playing and enjoying cool treats like today’s delightful Cherry Cheesecake Bombs!
Recently, I watched a Gabe and Garrett video on their YouTube channel and it inspired me to have a last summer hoorah with my family. We don’t want summer vacation to end! Before we know it, school will be back in session, so we’re making the absolute most of every minute of every day!
The kids love spending lots of time outside in our yard, playing water games, climbing the jungle gym, and looking for lizards. I get a kick out of standing at our front window and watching them laugh and make memories together. They beg me every day to come out and play line tag with them on our tennis court. And my youngest is getting pretty good at saying, “Under dog!” as he gets on the swing. 🙂
The sand, pokey spurs, and pebbles that constantly get tracked into the house are a constant reminder of the fun the kids are having. We’ve talked about it often and have decided this has been the best summer ever! We say that every year, but we’re pretty sure it’s even more true this time. 🙂
When the temps are soaring high out there and the kids are running around all red-faced and sweaty, I love to surprise them with refreshments to help cool them off. They’ve been eating ice pops like it’s going out of style, so I decided to throw together a different treat…one that would really make them smile. These exquisite Cherry Cheesecake Bombs are quite messy, but we didn’t care, because A.) They were outside and B.) We had lots of Wet Ones® Hand Wipes at the ready!
The kids hate to halt their precious play time by having to head indoors to clean up (it’s such an inconvenience), so Wet Ones® are the perfect solution! I stocked up on these at Walmart.
Guess what? I’ve got some great news for you! When you buy 2 Wet Ones® Hand Wipes, you will earn $1.00. You can also earn an extra $0.25 when you redeem 2 or more times at Walmart with THIS Ibotta offer!
Wet Ones® can tackle any mess, even graham cracker crumbs and creamy, melty dessert remnants that end up all over those little hands!
The kids can just wipe their hands and get right back to their playing without missing a beat! We know that means the world, especially when they’re in the middle of an intense game of tag or kick ball.
And speaking of games, I think the kids and I have played hide-and-seek about a thousand times this summer! We also can’t get enough of “steal the flag” and dodge ball. Summer just isn’t long enough!
We’ve decided we’ll be adding some Wet Ones® in the kids’ backpacks when school starts again, so they can quickly clean their hands during lunch break or after recess.
I know you and your family are going to love these messy but scrumptious Cherry Cheesecake Bombs! They include a creamy cherry filling that’s frozen, then scooped and rolled in graham cracker crumbs. They melt fast in the summer sun, so be sure to serve them immediately out of the freezer and keep lots of Wet Ones® within reach!
Cherry Cheesecake Bombs
- 8 oz. cream cheese softened
- 1 can 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can cherry pie filling 21 oz.
- 8 oz whipped topping
- 2 c. graham cracker crumbs
- In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream the cream cheese until smooth and no lumps remain. Add sweetened condensed milk and mix until creamy and well incorporated. Quickly mix in cherry pie filling, with mixer on low speed, just until incorporated. Fold in whipped topping.
- Cover bowl with foil and place it in the freezer for at least 2 hours. Mixture will still be soft frozen.
- Using a 2” ice cream scoop and working quickly, do your best to scoop and form mixture into balls. Roll into graham cracker crumbs and place on a cookie sheet. Allow finished cherry cheesecake balls to freeze for at least 2 hours. Serve immediately out of the freezer.
These cherry bombs are also perfect for potlucks and other gatherings! No one will be able to resist them!
