These Halloween Treat Cans are so fun to fill with goodies and give as gifts! They’re perfect for teachers, school classes, friends, neighbors, and parties! Plus, they’re made easily with up-cycled soup or veggie cans!
I always love to give my kids’ teachers fun gifts during the holiday season, and Halloween is no exception! I love that these are inexpensive and yet so cute and thoughtful! They’re so easy to create in bulk too! I made a pumpkin, ghost and black cat simply by painting a few empty cans! The hardest part was waiting for the paint to dry. 🙂
These would make perfect party favors! You could also switch out the candy for a snack food if you’d like to use them on a party table. So many options! Which version is your favorite? I have to say, I love the cat!
Isn’t this black cat adorable? I just used a very thin brush to paint on the eyes, whiskers and nose. You can always touch up with some black paint if you make a mistake.
This ghost is the simplest of all! Just some white and black paint and some ovals for the eyes and mouth!
This jack-o-lantern option is fun because you can switch up the facial expressions with each one!
These are so make, I probably don’t even need to explain how it’s done, but here’s a quick picture tutorial.
Start with some clean, dry empty soup or veggie cans. Use a large foam brush to paint them either orange, white or black, depending on which option you’re going for. Allow it to dry, then paint another coat if necessary, for full coverage. Let that dry, then paint on the faces using a very thin paint brush. Fill with treats or other surprises and you’re done! I told you it was easy!
Can you think of another cute Halloween character that would be fun to paint? I was thinking a witch, Frankenstein and owl would also be great options!
I hope you have a fun Halloween!
