Thank you Honey Bunches of Oats® Frosted Cereal for sponsoring this post. Now available at major retailers nationwide!
Gathering the family for breakfast is a great way to get the day started off on the right foot! We’ve made a habit of it over the years and have noticed how it strengthens our relationships and sets us up for a happy, successful day!
Mornings can be so chaotic, especially with work and school to prepare for. Can you relate? But one simple act of enjoying breakfast together has changed our family dynamics and our attitudes for the better! Honey Bunches of Oats® Frosted Cereal is an easy breakfast option that’s a hit every time!
I’ve always been a huge proponent of eating as a family, whenever possible. Even when kids wake up grumpy or tired and don’t want to get dressed, or when we’re running late and scrambling to make lunches and find shoes, sitting together at the table for a few minutes and enjoying a quick meal before we head out the door and go our separate directions has a way of turning those frowns upside down in a hurry!
Growing up, my siblings and I always sat and ate breakfast together and I have fond memories of that time. I love that I get to continue this tradition with my own children. We discuss our plans for the day, give encouragement if someone has a big test or presentation, offer advice on difficult social situations that have presented themselves at school, converse about our goals, laugh about random, silly things, and talk about what we want to do the next weekend.
Each morning ends up unfolding so differently based on what’s been happening in our lives. I know this sounds cheesy, but each time we gather, we leave feeling uplifted and like we’re ready to conquer another day! It’s true!
Our morning meals are never complicated. After all, there’s not a lot of wiggle room in the schedule when we have to leave the house by 7:45 AM! We’ve always been huge Honey Bunches of Oats® Cereal fans! It’s a part of our fuss-free breakfast routine so we can get to school on time. And now there’s even more reason to get out of bed in the morning with new Honey Bunches of Oats® Frosted Cereal. I like to serve it with a variety of fresh fruit (rainbow fruit trays are so fun!) and juice. Prep the fruit the evening before to save time!
I’m sure you’ll be excited to hear that Honey Bunches of Oats Frosted is available at retailers nationwide. To find a store near you and learn more, go HERE.
The frosty layer of delightful sweetness on the Honey Bunches of Oats flakes, combined with the crunchy goodness of granola bunches, is unbeatable! Each bite is total bliss! My kids love it and I love it! It doesn’t happen often, but isn’t it nice when we can all agree on something? 🙂
Honey Bunches of Oats Frosted Cereal retails for $4.99. I keep a stock of it in my pantry for a quick and yummy breakfast option on crazy mornings! It’s a convenient meal solution that brings smiles to my family’s faces every time!
This yummy cereal provides a great excuse to gather as a family and enjoy breakfast! With all the negative that seems to bombard us in the world, starting each day on a positive note is critical. A few well-spent minutes (such as eating breakfast together as a family) can have a huge impact on the outcome of everyone’s day. At least that’s what we’ve found.
However difficult it may be, when we make time for family breakfast, I notice that my kids are kinder in their dealings with each other (though there’s always room for improvement), they’re more cheerful, and better equipped to keep the positive momentum going throughout their day.
Here are some things we do to make sure we can continue our breakfast tradition each morning:
- Wake up on time (set an alarm, if necessary).
- Set out clothes the night before.
- Prep lunches the night before, if possible.
- Make sure homework is done, in backpacks, and all permission slips are signed the evening before.
- Put a pair of socks inside the shoes they will be wearing and place the shoes by the door.
My kids wake up early before the sun and wait around so we can all eat together. I love that this time is as important to them as it is to me!
What does your morning routine look like? Do you make a point of eating breakfast together with your family?
