This fun black and yellow bumble bee themed baby shower will make the “mom to bee” feel so special!
This past weekend I co-hosted a baby shower for a friend with a few other friends. The mom-to-be is waiting to be surprised on the gender of the baby, so we wanted to keep the theme neutral. We think it turned out so cute! Because of the interesting time we are living in, we chose to pre-package all of the treats. We wanted everyone to feel comfortable coming and going as they pleased, so it was an open house. My friend and I rounded up some coordinating decor from our houses and we served water with lemonade packets, fruit, homemade rolls with honey butter, homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies and Snickerdoodles, and a caramel Chex snack mix. It was simple to put together and yet was such a memorable, fun event for the sweet mom to be. It was so fun to see so many wonderful friends show up to support her and get excited for her.
The bumble bee theme was so perfect for an outdoor party! I found and printed (on white cardstock) the “Mom to Bee” banner here and then wrote in the letters myself. I used this bumble bee scallop clipart and placed it in a Word document, then printed (on craft cardstock) and drew and cut out the pennants for the other banner. I enlarged this bumblebee clipart image and printed and cut it out for the backdrop.
We kept the gift table simple with a black tablecloth and fresh cut wild yellow flowers from my property. We also had black buckets with papers in them so the guests could take their guesses as to what they think the baby’s gender will be. I’m not one to throw elaborate gatherings, but I do love a good theme and coordinating colors and decor. This was such a fun party to host!
What is your favorite element of this party? I just love the bumble bee theme!
