Easy DIY Reindeer Gift

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Dollar General. All opinions are 100% mine.

Friends and neighbors will love to receive this Reindeer Chocolate Gift! It’s adorable and so quick to put together! easy-reindeer-gift1 ‘Tis the season for simplifying and finding ways to save precious time! Well, lucky for you I’ve got the perfect gift that can easily be produced in bulk for all those friends and neighbors on your list.  And, who doesn’t love chocolate and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer?  It’s sure to be enjoyed! My family and I always love receiving goodie surprises at our door in the days leading up to Christmas.  But more than receiving, we really enjoy making special things to give to others.  To me handmade is from the heart! dollar-general So I went to Dollar General to gather everything I needed to make today’s craft-turned present. There were so many fun options for wrapping and packaging, all at a great value. I’m always looking for ways to save money, especially this time of year, and I knew I could find affordable gift ideas there. I selected some cute tags and ribbon, along with a few other supplies.  And then I went home and got busy making this adorable chocolate-filled reindeer jar. You’ll need some chocolate candies (I used chocolate-covered pretzels and peanut clusters), some googly eyes, a clear glass jar, some red pom poms, some ribbon, pipe cleaner and gift tags. You can find these products and more at your local Dollar General. You can also check out their décor on their website.

reindeer-gift-collage1 Begin by filling your jar with the chocolate candies.  Now hot glue on your googly eyes and red pom pom nose to the jar.  Next, you’ll need to measure on your pipe cleaner about how far you want the antlers to stick up. Then bend them back and forth beyond the straight point that you’ll glue to the jar. reindeer-gift-collage2 Glue the straight portion of the pipe cleaner to the jar in the back right under the lid, then glue some ribbon around the lid of the jar. Punch a hole in the gift tag and string the ribbon through, then tie.  That’s it! I told you it was easy peasy! easy-reindeer-gift2 I’m sure this cute guy could bring a smile to lots of faces this holiday season! I’ll be making lots more in the coming weeks to share with all our neighbors! This probably took me a total of five minutes.  It doesn’t get easier than this! I love that it’s a thoughtful and simple way to show you care. easy-reindeer-gift3 Happy gift giving!
